We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Primary Teacher to join our dedicated team at a mainstream primary school in Southampton! This is your chance to inspire students, support their educational journey, and create a vibrant, engaging learning environment.

As a Primary Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic and personal development. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to create and implement engaging lessons tailored to each student's needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons aligned with the primary curriculum.
  • Support students' academic progress and well-being.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction tailored to students' needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education and well-being.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students.
  • Keep detailed records of each student's progress and communicate this information to parents, support staff, and other relevant parties.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent.
  • Trainee, early careers, or overseas-trained teachers are welcome to apply.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships with all members of the school community.
  • Deep commitment to helping students develop their academic skills, exhibiting patience and empathy.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education (desirable but not essential).

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one.

Successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
