Job summary

Vision For Education Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher (Year 1) for a maternity cover in Whitley Bay. The role is full-time and temporary, with responsibilities across KS1 and a focus on nurturing confidence and a love of learning.

You will join a supportive school community with an emphasis on high-quality teaching. The contract runs from October 2026 to July 2027, and daily rates are paid via PAYE aligned with your experience and qualifications.

The School and Role

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and nurturing full time Year 1 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Whitley Bay on a maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Enthusiastic teacher who is committed to providing hight quality teaching and learning within KS1. You will play a key role in supporting pupils through this important transition year, helping them to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

Requirements:

The successful Teacher will have:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching in KS1
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment
• Create an engaging, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Work as part of a collaborative and caring team
• Show enthusiasm, creativity and excellent classroom management skills
