Job summary

Milk Education are looking for a passionate Year 1 Class Teacher to join a primary school in Twickenham. This role would suit a qualified teacher who enjoys working with younger pupils and creating engaging lessons that build strong foundations for future learning.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience in EYFS or KS1 is desirable.
• Strong understanding of early learning and phonics.

Location: Twickenham, South West London
Pay: £150-£190 per day
Start Date: November 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term

The Role

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.




• Support pupils as they transition into more formal classroom learning.




• Teach early reading, phonics, writing and maths.




• Assess pupil progress and adapt lessons to meet different needs.




• Establish positive classroom routines and expectations.




• Communicate with colleagues to support pupils' development.

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).




• Experience teaching in EYFS or KS1 is desirable.




• Strong understanding of early learning and phonics.




• Positive classroom management and communication skills.




• Able to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.




• Committed to helping every pupil achieve their potential.
