Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a Primary Teacher for a welcoming Sheffield primary school. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess progress, differentiate for ability, and build positive routines to support a safe, inclusive learning environment.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, commitment to safeguarding and DBS checks, and collaboration with staff to promote pupils' development across EYFS to KS2 as needed.

Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a passionate Primary Teacher who enjoys creating engaging lessons and helping children reach their potential? A welcoming primary school in Sheffield S5 is looking for a committed teacher to join their team and make a positive contribution to pupils' learning.

About the Role:

As a Primary Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons suited to the needs of your class, while creating a positive and purposeful learning environment. You will use effective teaching strategies to support pupils' progress, assess their understanding and adapt your approach where needed.

You will also establish clear classroom routines, manage behaviour consistently and work closely with colleagues to support pupils' wider development. Whether working across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, you will play an important role in helping children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Excellent communication, organisation and planning abilities.

A genuine commitment to supporting children's learning and development.

An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

To work with GSL Education as a Primary Teacher, you should:

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.

We also offer, via our partner, access to accredited Education-relevant CPD courses.

In addition to that, GSL Education is currently offering £100 for the successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants (Ts &Cs apply).
