Job summary

A well-regarded SEND school in Slough is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a difference in students' lives through creative and consistent learning experiences. The role requires QTS and experience in a SEND environment. The role starts in September 2025 with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm.

Qualifications

Substantial experience teaching in a SEND or alternative provision setting.
Confident managing challenging behaviour and delivering tailored learning.
Proactive and reflective approach to teaching.
Ability to plan and deliver adapted lessons for primary pupils.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons for primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs.
Foster a nurturing classroom environment supporting emotional development.
Track pupil progress and contribute to regular reviews.
Implement structured routines and de-escalation techniques where necessary.
Track pupil progress and contribute to reviews of learning targets and behaviour plans.
Engage actively in staff meetings, ongoing training and wider school life.

Job description

We are currently working with a well-regarded SEND school in Slough to appoint a Primary Teacher with a strong background in supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a full-time role starting in September 2025, running Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm. This position would suit a confident and committed teacher who thrives on making a measurable difference to the lives of children with complex needs. You will play a key role in delivering creative and consistent learning experiences for pupils who require structure, patience and emotional support.
