Job summary

Vision for Education are recruiting for a full-time Year 4 Teacher to work in a welcoming primary school in the Telford area. The role starts in Autumn Term 2026 and runs for the first half term.

The successful candidate will take full class teacher responsibility for Year 4, planning and delivering lessons, assessing progress and creating an inclusive learning environment. QTS and KS2 experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Hold QTS and primary teaching experience, ideally KS2.
  • Experience teaching Year 4 and planning across the curriculum.
  • Confident in delivering engaging lessons and managing a class.

Responsibilities

  • Take full class teacher responsibility for a Year 4 class.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and staff.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and achievement.
  • Commit to a full-time role for the first half term of Autumn 2026.

Job description

Vision for Education are currently recruiting for a full-time Year 4 Teacher to work in a welcoming primary school based in the Telford area. This role will start from the Autumn Term 2026 and will run for the first half term.

The successful candidate will take full class teacher responsibility for a Year 4 class, planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The role

This role will include:

  • Taking full class teacher responsibility for a Year 4 class.
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
  • Working closely with teaching assistants and other members of staff.
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, learning and achievement.
  • Working full-time throughout the first half term of the Autumn Term 2026.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of staff who work collaboratively to provide high-quality education and support for all pupils.

Requirements

To be considered for this Year 4 Teacher position, you will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have previous experience teaching within a primary school, ideally in KS2.
  • Have experience teaching or working with pupils in Year 4.
  • Be confident planning and delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum.
  • Have strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Be able to commit to a full-time role for the first half term of the Autumn Term 2026.
  • Be able to provide two recent and relevant references.
  • Have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
