Qualifications

Job description

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Primary Teacher to join our close-knit team at Lamledge School, part of Acorn Education.

About the Role

As a Primary SEND Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupils’ achievement and ability to develop.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our work and are looking for a SEN Teacher who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering pupils in the UK to be happy and successful. You will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative teaching style, motivated by helping every pupil reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and learning across students (from age 7) working at EYFS and up to KS2 levels.
  • Core subject knowledge and experience
  • Planning and delivery of lessons
  • Evidence of student work
  • Monitoring student progress with regular marking and feedback
  • Confidently and creatively educate
  • Managing student timetables and meeting individual needs
  • Drafting and updating Students' Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
  • Attending EHCP annual reviews and providing progress reports
  • Additional duties as requested by the head of school

Located on the outskirts of Shifnal, we are within a commutable distance of Telford, Dudley, Stourbridge, Shrewsbury, Stone, Walsall, Wolverhampton, and surrounding towns.
