Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting qualified Primary Teachers for exciting September start across Neath Port Talbot and surrounding areas. We offer day-to-day supply, short- and long-term placements, maternity cover and permanent positions.

You will work with schools across Foundation Phase, KS1 and KS2, supported by a dedicated consultant, with access to CPD via MyProgression and a competitive daily rate of £172.98, paid weekly through PAYE.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Primary teaching experience in schools.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to placements.
• Commitment to inclusive education and pupil progress.
• Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) welcome.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Primary Teacher, your responsibilities will vary depending on the school, year group and type of placement.

You may be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering engaging, effective lessons
• Teaching in line with the Curriculum for Wales
• Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom
• Differentiating and adapting teaching to meet individual pupil needs
• Supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
• Assessing learning and monitoring pupil progress
• Maintaining high expectations for learning and behaviour
• Building positive relationships with pupils
• Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff
• Communicating effectively with parents, carers and the wider school community
• Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking to speak with Primary Teachers who have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Primary teaching experience
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to plan and deliver effective lessons
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach
• A commitment to inclusive education and pupil progress
• A genuine passion for helping children learn and develop
