Primary Teachers Needed in Merthyr

New Directions is recruiting for Primary Teachers in the Merthyr area for daily and long-term cover. This role is suitable for both NQTs and experienced teachers covering Foundation to KS2.

We seek a dedicated and inspiring teacher to create engaging learning environments that motivate students, encourage ambition, maximize potential, and foster a comprehensive skill set.

Responsibilities include:

1. Creating differentiated learning resources tailored to students' needs.
2. Planning organized lessons that promote student participation.
3. Maintaining a positive classroom environment and managing student behavior.
4. Assessing student progress through marking and feedback.
5. Using technology effectively, including interactive whiteboards and educational apps.
6. Keeping up with curriculum developments.
7. Participating in school events, possibly during weekends or evenings.
8. Collaborating with colleagues and working flexibly, especially in smaller schools.
9. Engaging in CPD opportunities, including webinars on topics like Team Teach, Welsh, BSL, Assessment for Learning, and Wellbeing.
