The role is to cover a small Year 1 class from early June through until the end of the academic year. You will be working closely with the senior leadership team to support the development of this class until the end of the academic year.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a proven track record of successful teaching career in KS1.
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and the ability to implement effective strategies to support positive behaviour.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with the child, parents, and colleagues.
• Be patient, empathetic, and dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Hold Qualified Teaching status in the UK with primary specialism.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent teaching skills and support development for a small Year 1 class.
• Adapt to the class needs and individual pupils when needed. Offering full feedback and support to staff and parents.
• Encourage participation with pupils in all lessons.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages emotional and academic growth.
• Work closely with senior leaders to ensure the correct lesson plans are in place.
