Gretton School cares for autistic children and young people aged from 5—19 years old, as weekly boarders or as day learners. Every learner at Gretton has a diagnosis of Autism and can learn at or above the level of their mainstream peers but requires a specialist setting to reach their potential. Your new role

We are recruiting a Primary Teacher to join our team. As a Primary Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, personalized lessons tailored to your students' needs and interests. You will collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide the best support and guidance. You will also contribute to developing the school’s curriculum, policies, and practices, and participate in ongoing training and professional development.

What you'll need to succeed

• A recognized teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
• Experience teaching in a primary setting, preferably with students with ASCs or other special educational needs
• A good understanding of autism education principles and practices, or a willingness to learn and develop your skills
• A creative and flexible approach to teaching, adaptable to different learning styles and abilities
• A positive, enthusiastic attitude capable of motivating and inspiring students
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
