Job summary

Grateley House School in Andover, Hampshire, is seeking a committed Primary Teacher to help establish our new Key Stage 2 provision. You will deliver engaging and adaptable lessons that build confidence, curiosity and success for learners with additional needs.

This permanent, 40-hour-per-week role offers a salary of up to £42,000 per annum with a September start, and the opportunity to collaborate with experienced teaching assistants and our in-house therapy team to support every student’s

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
  • Experience teaching at Key Stage 2.
  • Strong classroom management and flexible teaching style.
  • A reflective practitioner committed to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with young people with SEND.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to whole-school values.
  • Experience in curriculum development (desirable).

About the school

Grateley House School is a specialist day school in Andover, Hampshire, for children and young people aged 11-19 with a diagnosis of autism and other associated needs. The school delivers the National Curriculum, with students supported by experienced subject teachers, teaching assistants and an in-house therapy team.

The role

We are seeking a committed, creative and reflective Primary Teacher to join our dedicated team. You will play a key role in establishing our new Key Stage 2 provision, delivering engaging and adaptable lessons that build confidence, curiosity and success in learners with additional needs. Working alongside experienced teaching assistants and our therapy team, you will ensure every student has the tools, confidence and support to thrive both academically and personally. The position is permanent, 40 hours per week, with a salary of up to £42,000 per annum and a start date of September.
