Job Title: Primary Supply Teacher - Southwark


Location: Southwark
Salary:£150 - £200 per day (Depending on Experience)
Hours:8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Start Date:Immediately
Contract Type:Ad hoc day-to-day supply

Are you a passionate and adaptable Primary Supply Teacher looking for flexible work opportunities in Southwark?

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our supply team to cover day-to-day teaching as aPrimary Supply Teacherneeds in local primary schools inSouthwark.

As aPrimary Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging and creative lessons to primary students across KS1 and KS2. You will be responsible for maintaining a positive and safe learning environment, fostering students' academic and personal growth, and ensuring a smooth transition in the teacher’s absence. Whether you are seeking short-term assignments or regular supply work, this role offers the flexibility to suit your schedule.

Key Responsibilities of a Primary Supply Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the curriculum, covering a range of subjects acrossKS1 and KS2.
  • Adapt lesson plans as needed to cater to the diverse needs of students, ensuring all abilities are supported.
  • Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and active learning.
  • Assess and record student progress, providing feedback to school staff where required.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support the overall aims of the school.
  • Uphold the school’s values and contribute to a respectful and positive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a safe and supportive space for all learners.
  • Ensure that all safeguarding and child protection policies are adhered to at all times.

Primary Supply TeacherRequirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in primary settings, preferably across KS1 and KS2.
  • A degree in Education, psychology or in a similar field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to different teaching environments.
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • Regular supply work in Southwark.
  • Competitive daily pay rates.
