Job summary

Qualiteach Ltd is seeking an outstanding Primary SEN Teacher to support a Leeds SEN school in a Year 5/6 setting. You will build rapport quickly with learners who have ASC, SEMH and other needs while managing behaviour to sustain engagement.

The role requires adaptability, strong relationship-building, and a commitment to long-term placement in the same school. Qualiteach provides ongoing support and access to a wide range of roles.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering to Year 5/6 learners in a SEN setting.
• Experience with learners with ASC/SEMH and other needs.
• Ability to re-engage disengaged learners and maintain motivation.

Responsibilities

• Support a Year 5/6 class of 6-8 learners in a SEN school.

Qualiteach Yorkshire are currently looking for an outstanding SEN Teacher to support one of our local SEN schools. This will be working in a Y5/6 class of 6-8 learners.

The role will be working within a SEN school supporting students who have a range of needs including ASC, SEMH and other additional needs which can create a barrier to learning.

The school itself is easily accessible via car and public transport and has a fantastic reputation.

You will need to be able to quickly build rapport with young children who are often disengaged with education.

What you will need:

• A range of behaviour management techniques
• To have worked with learners with a range of needs
• The ability to re-engage a young person in learning through a range of methods
• To be able to commit to working at the school for long period of time
