Job summary

Connex Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Practitioner to support pupils with additional needs across primary settings in Nailsea & Backwell. You will deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions, adapt activities to individual needs, and collaborate with teachers and SEN professionals to foster inclusion.

Ideal candidates will have SEN experience, a calm, patient approach, and strong communication skills to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children with SEN.
• Calm, patient and supportive approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of additional learning needs in primary settings.
• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions.
• Assist with planning and adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
• Encourage communication, independence, and engagement in learning.
• Help maintain a calm, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
