Job summary

Humly North East is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Sunderland. You will work across Years 1, supporting small groups and helping children build confidence and progress.

Responsibilities include delivering catch-up activities, supporting literacy and numeracy interventions, and collaborating with class teachers to identify and support pupils needing extra help. No formal qualifications are required, though a Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supporting small groups of pupils across Years 1-6.

• Helping children develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning.
• Providing encouragement and creating a positive, engaging learning environment.
