Job description

Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive team at a school in Chelmsford.

Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Start Date:ASAP depending on vetting time
Hours: 8.30-15.30 (potentially more depending on the role)

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students across a range of abilities and year groups. You’ll assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, help manage classroom behaviour, and provide tailored support to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.

• Experience working with children is desirable, but we also welcome applications from candidates with transferrable skills (e.g., youth work, coaching, care, customer service).

• Must hold a Grade C/4 or above in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).

• Must have a child-only enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one prior to starting.

• Strong communication skills and a patient, positive attitude.

• A genuine interest in education and helping young people reach their potential.

• A dedicated consultant to assist you in finding work and support you to start your new role
