Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Primary Teacher for an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ Primary School located in Southampton.

The school specializes in the care and education of pupils aged 7-11 with Education Health and Care Plans. Pupils have a range of needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) & Autism.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and developing the curriculum for Primary pupils with SEMH & Additional Needs, focusing on curriculum, teaching, learning, and behaviour to ensure successful outcomes.

Applicants should have experience working effectively with SEN pupils. A strong work ethic, efficient administrative skills, competent IT skills, and the ability to inspire and lead the primary staff team are essential.

PRIMARY CONTRACT DETAILS:

Location: Southampton, Hampshire

Paid to scale: GBP145-200 per day
Hours: 8am - 4pm, plus parents evenings, SLT meetings

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• QTS, PGCE or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a UK school
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential; free courses offered by Prospero Teaching)

Experience with Special Educational Needs, mainly SEMH & Complex Needs

• Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
