Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a part-time PPA teacher (0.8) for a Good Primary School in Burnley to cover KS1 and KS2. You will work from a detailed plan to deliver lessons across maths, English, and foundation subjects, including Art, Geography, History and RE, four days a week.

You should hold Qualified Teacher Status, bring a positive attitude and strong behaviour management, and be ready to join an experienced team from October 2026.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Experience delivering lessons across KS1 and KS2 is desirable.
• Ability to implement and uphold behaviour policies.

A 'Good' Primary School located in Burnley are seeking to appoint a part- time (0.8) PPA teacher to work across key stages 1 and 2. As a PPA teacher in our school, you will join an experienced and supportive team and work from a detailed plan to deliver lessons across the foundation subjects including maths, English, including Art, Geography, History, and R.E. We are keen o consider educators from M1 - M6, but a broad knowledge of the curriculum is essential, as is a positive working attitude and ability to establish strong working relationships. Although the behaviour at this school is considered to be generally good, it is of paramount importance to the senior leadership team that the employed practitioner is confident and capable of implementing effective behaviour management strategies and capable of working in line with their well supported policies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
