Job summary

Upton Infant & Junior Schools within Hamwic Education Trust are seeking a proactive Site Manager to lead facilities management across the school site. You will coordinate repairs, manage contractors and ensure safety, security and presentation of buildings and grounds to support pupil learning.

The role requires practical maintenance skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to supervise a small cleaners team while maintaining high safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or maintenance within a school or public building.
• Ability to coordinate repairs and manage contractors.
• Strong focus on health and safety and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire school site, ensuring safety, cleanliness and presentation.
• Manage security, unlocking/locking routines and incident response.
• Lead a small team of cleaners and arrange contractor work.
• Promote flexible working to meet school needs and maintain high standards.
