Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a Learning Adventure Mentor to work in welcoming primary schools from September. You’ll support pupils academically and emotionally, helping them build confidence and enjoy learning across EYFS to KS2.

Ideal candidates include graduates or experienced support staff with a passion for child development. You’ll join a supportive network with ongoing development opportunities and a streamlined APSCo-compliant registration process through Milk Academy.

Qualifications

Degree in education or related field or relevant experience.
Experience supporting children or young people is desirable.
Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 on a one-to-one, small group and classroom basis.
Help children engage positively with learning and develop confidence.
Deliver targeted interventions in Reading, Writing and Maths.
Support pupils with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH.
Encourage curiosity, creativity and a positive attitude towards learning.
Build strong relationships that help pupils feel safe, supported and motivated.
Support social, emotional and behavioural development.
Work collaboratively with teachers and SENDCOs to meet individual pupil needs.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Contribute to a positive, inclusive and nurturing school environment.
