Job summary

Burbage Primary School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team as soon as possible. This is a temporary, fixed-term position until August 2027 with a possibility of becoming permanent, working 30 hours per week across five days.

This role supports pupils’ learning and wellbeing, working closely with teaching staff to help pupils thrive in the classroom and beyond.

Qualifications

• Supports pupils individually and in groups.
• Promotes independence and resilience.
• Assists with planning and delivery of learning targets.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' learning and wellbeing in class.
• Clarify instructions and provide learning resources and teaching aids.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Promote positive behaviour in line with school policies.
• Prepare teaching materials and maintain classroom resources.
• Build constructive relationships with parents and carers.
