Job summary

Dumfries and Galloway Council is seeking a committed Primary Teacher for the Sanquhar Learning Centre. The post is based at Sanquhar Primary School, 35 hours per week, a temporary contract to August 2027. Applicants should have experience with additional support needs and be registered with the GTCS in the appropriate sector.

The role involves collaborative work with families, external agencies and colleagues, and adherence to safeguarding and PVG scheme requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with GTCS in the appropriate sector.
• Experience or interest in Learning Centre settings and ASD/ASN support is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across the primary curriculum.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, external agencies and the wider community.
• Contribute to learning centre planning and inclusive practices.
