Job summary

The Holt House and Carterknowle Schools Federation is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our staff and be based at Carterknowle Junior School.

We require an HLTA with strong teaching and classroom management skills, experience with primary aged children, and the ability to provide pastoral support and care. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare is essential.

Qualifications

• HLTA with experience in primary education and strong classroom management.
• Experience working with primary aged children, supporting them in and out of class.
• High expectations for learning and independence with good pastoral support.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to class teachers.
• Work with small groups and individual children.
• Supervise playtimes and lunchtimes.
• Provide first day absence and PPA cover as required.
