Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Raunds for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). You will lead lessons, run small group interventions, and support pupils to achieve strong academic progress within an inclusive setting.

Ideal candidates will hold an HLTA qualification or equivalent school experience, with a track record in primary education and strong behaviour management. DBS checks and safeguarding awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent school-based experience.
• Experience working in a primary school setting.
• Confident in leading whole-class learning and small group interventions.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Proactive, flexible, and positive approach to supporting children’s learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across the primary age range and lead small group interventions.
• Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND where required.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Monitor pupils' progress and wellbeing and support safeguarding practices.
