Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across primary schools in the Peterborough area. The role involves delivering pre-planned lessons, supporting teachers, and leading small groups during release time.

You will be confident in managing whole-class activities when required, with a strong commitment to safeguarding and a current enhanced DBS. This supply-based post offers ongoing long-term opportunities and potential permanent roles for the

Qualifications

HLTA qualification or significant experience in a similar role.
Recent experience working within a UK primary school.
Able to lead whole-class learning when required.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of primary year groups.
Provide high-quality classroom support alongside class teachers.
Lead intervention groups to support pupils’ progress in core subjects.
Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
Help create an engaging, inclusive and positive learning environment.
Work closely with teachers and senior leaders to support the smooth running of the school.
