Job summary

E-ACT The Grange School in Daventry is seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team. You will deliver high-quality learning activities, support teachers, and provide targeted interventions to help pupils reach their full potential.

The role requires Level 2 TA qualification, recent primary experience, and strong communication, organisational and safeguarding skills. You will work as part of a vibrant, pupil-centred community committed to inclusive excellence.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Recent experience with primary-aged children in an educational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality learning activities and lessons across the school, including whole-class teaching during teacher absence or PPA cover.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to plan, prepare and adapt learning activities that meet the needs of all pupils.
• Support pupils to achieve their full potential by promoting high expectations, engagement and positive outcomes.
• Provide targeted interventions and additional support for individuals and groups of pupils, including those with SEND and disadvantaged learners.
• Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, providing timely feedback to teachers and contributing to pupil progress discussions.
