Job summary

Blackburn Rovers Community Trust (BRCT) is seeking a Gymnastics and Education Practitioner to deliver high-quality sessions in primary schools and community settings. You will mentor teachers, support PE development, and work across school and community environments to inspire young people to participate in physical activity.

The role includes planning sessions, contributing to KPI delivery for Premier League Primary Stars and Joy of Moving projects, and occasional weekend duties.

Qualifications

• Recent experience of working with primary aged pupils.
• Ability to plan and deliver high-quality gymnastics sessions.
• Ability to educate and inspire children in physical activities.
• Experience working with other teaching/support staff.
• Teaching/coaching experience across age groups.
• Knowledge of safeguarding best practices.
• Experience working with hard-to-reach young people.
• Knowledge of National Curriculum KS1/KS2.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver gymnastics lessons covering a range of skills.
• Contribute to teaching quality and curriculum delivery.
• Plan holiday programmes with diverse sports activities.
• Follow quality assurance procedures for participating schools.
• Promote equal opportunities in service delivery.
• Work with local schools and delivery team on events.
• Occasional weekend activity delivery (e.g., matchdays).
• Monitor activities and report back to line manager.
• Develop new opportunities to extend BRCT provisions.
