Job summary

Crofton Junior School in London is seeking a Sports Coach to deliver high-quality PE and sporting opportunities for our pupils. The role involves supporting and delivering PE sessions across the school, leading lunchtime activities, and helping organise intra- and inter-school competitions.

The ideal candidate will have experience with primary-aged children, coaching qualifications and/or HLTA status, and be energetic, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a wider team.

Qualifications

• Has experience working with primary-aged children in a sporting or educational setting.
• Holds relevant coaching qualifications and/or HLTA status (or is working towards it).
• Energetic, proactive and passionate about PE and school sport.
• Able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Can inspire and motivate children of all abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Organise and lead lunchtime and breaktimesporting activities
• Plan and deliver after-school sports clubs (if taking up extra hours)
• Work with staff to prepare for sporting events and competitions
• Encourage pupil participation in physical activity and promote a healthy lifestyle
