Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant

Responsibilities
  • You'll work across KS2 to run short, purposeful intervention sessions in reading, writing and maths.
  • You'll provide 1:1 support, guide small groups, prep simple resources, and note impact so next steps are clear.
  • You'll reinforce routines, encourage positive behaviour, and help pupils build confidence ahead of assessments.
The Candidate
  • You're a graduate who communicates clearly, stays organised, and engages pupils with concise explanations and well-structured tasks.
  • You follow guidance, use initiative, and keep sessions focused on progress.
Requirements
  • Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
  • Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education/with children - Strong interest in primary education and pupil progress.
  • Experience working with children - Any relevant experience (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
