Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking confident Primary Cover Supervisors to work on a temporary basis across Worksop's primary schools, starting November 2026. This role suits graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals who want flexible work.

You will deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain a safe classroom, support pupil learning and adapt to different school settings, while following safeguarding procedures. UK work rights and DBS update service are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
• BA Hons Degree, CACHE or NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent is desirable.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply) and safeguarding training.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Maintain a positive, safe and engaging classroom environment.
• Support pupils' learning and behaviour throughout the school day.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Adapt confidently to different school settings and year groups.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Previous experience working with children in a school or similar educational setting.

• An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
• A commitment to safeguarding and completing annual safeguarding training.
• The right to work in the UK.
