Job summary

St Richard Reynolds Catholic Primary School in Twickenham is seeking a dedicated Classroom Assistant to join our Primary team. Start date September/October 2026. 35 hours per week, term time plus inset days, initially until 31 December 2026 with potential extension.

You will prepare tailored classroom materials and help set up engaging learning environments to support lesson objectives. You will work with pupils with diverse needs, ensuring SEND and EHCP targets are met with care.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Prior experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong literacy, numeracy and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tailored classroom materials and set up engaging learning environments.
• Support pupils with diverse needs and ensure SEND/EHCP targets are met with care and consistency.
• Promote independence and help pupils build confidence while managing classroom behaviour positively.
