The role will involve supporting children across the primary age range, helping with everyday classroom activities and providing additional support to pupils who may need a little extra guidance.

Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, Classroom Assistant or Learning Support Assistant, or have transferable experience from childcare, youth work, care or coaching, we'd love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities could include:

  • Supporting the class teacher during lessons and classroom activities.
  • Working with individual pupils and small groups.

  • Supporting children's social skills and communication.
  • Creating a positive, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.

We're interested in people who are reliable, approachable and genuinely enjoy working with children.

Previous school experience is beneficial but isn't essential. You may have worked as a Teaching Assistant, TA, SEN TA, LSA, Nursery Practitioner, Support Worker, Youth Worker or Sports Coach, or simply have valuable experience working with children.

You’ll ideally be:

  • Friendly, positive and approachable.
  • Patient and understanding.
  • Confident communicating with children.
  • Comfortable working as part of a team.
  • Adaptable and happy to get involved.
  • Reliable and professional.
  • Keen to support children's learning and development.

You'll also need an Enhanced DBS, or be willing to apply for one, and have the Right to Work in the UK.
