Job summary

Vision for Education is recruiting dedicated Classroom Support Assistants to work with welcoming and inclusive schools in Devizes. You will support pupils' behaviour, engagement and wellbeing in a structured learning environment, while gaining valuable classroom experience.

You will assist teachers in lessons, provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, and help promote positive behaviour and pupil development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Patient, positive and reliable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in lessons, both 1:1 and in small groups.
• Assist the teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote inclusion.
• Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and development.

Vision for Education is working in partnership with welcoming and inclusive schools across Devizes to recruit dedicated Classroom Support Assistants. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact by supporting pupils' behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing in a structured and supportive learning environment, while gaining valuable experience within the classroom.

We are looking for committed Classroom Support Assistants who can work closely with teachers to support learning and behaviour with both mainstream and SEN students of all ages, helping with engagement and confidence throughout the school day.

The Ideal Classroom Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
• A patient, positive and reliable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Confidence supporting behaviour and learning needs
• A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Key Responsibilities of a Classroom Support Assistant:

• Supporting pupils in lessons, both 1:1 and in small groups
• Assisting the teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
• Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting inclusion
• Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and development

Pay & Hours: 14.24 p/h. Monday - Friday 08:30am - 15:30pm, term time only.
