Dawlish Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic teacher with QTS to join our primary/early years team. The role focuses on high-quality planning, delivering engaging lessons, and assessing pupil progress while supporting an innovative literacy and numeracy curriculum.

You will collaborate within a year-group team, foster inclusive practice, uphold safeguarding standards, and contribute to professional development and appraisal processes.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Relevant teaching experience within Primary and/or Early Years settings.
• Ability to plan, prepare, deliver, and evaluate lessons using quality-first teaching methods.
• Proven skills in assessing, recording, and reporting on pupils' attainment, progress, and educational needs.
• Experience in delivering an innovative curriculum that ensures pupils are literacy and numeracy confident.
• Skill in planning and organising a broad, ambitious curriculum for mixed-ability classes.
• Strong commitment to child safeguarding, pupil health and safety, and well-being policies.
• Dedication to ongoing personal professional development and active participation in teacher appraisal.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for liaising with pupils, colleagues, parents, and outside agencies.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a year group team to share ideas, resources, and best practices.
• Strong commitment to parental partnerships and fostering an inclusive, multicultural school culture.
• Understanding of diverse learning styles, SEND support, and individualised learning approaches.
