Job summary

Oakington CofE Primary School, part of Grace Schools, is seeking a dedicated Class Teacher (80%) to join our supportive team and deliver high-quality teaching across the primary phase.

The successful candidate will plan, teach and assess, build strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues, and contribute to our education ethos within a values-driven Trust.

This role offers a permanent contract and opportunities for professional development within Grace Schools.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent.
• Qualified Teacher Status.
• Experience of working as a class teacher in a primary school.
• Alignment to the Grace Schools Principles of Education.
• Knowledge of strategies to support learning, progress and standards across the curriculum.
• Principles and practices of high-quality teaching and learning.
• Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, parents/carers and the community.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach lessons and sequences of lessons to the class(es) you are assigned to teach within the context of the academy's knowledge-rich curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of assigned pupils, planning and adapting your practice to ensure the best possible outcomes.
• Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies in line with our Grace Schools Principles of Education.
• Be an excellent role model - exemplifying a high standard of teaching and promoting high expectation for all members of the school community.
• Maintaining the highest expectations for all children.
