Job summary

The University Medical Group in Reading is seeking an experienced phlebotomist to join a high-quality, multi-disciplinary team. This part-time, permanent position involves ECGs, phlebotomy, injections under GP PSDs, and vaccination administration, with duties across stock control and EMIS/Ardens workflows.

Ideal candidates will have a phlebotomy certificate and a Care Certificate, with the ability to work with students and learners in a teaching-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Essential: Phlebotomist certificate.
• Desirable: Health and social care Level 2.
• Essential: Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• ECG administration and phlebotomy duties within the practice.
• Administer B12 injections under PSDs signed by GPs.
• Administer annual influenza vaccinations/pneumonia under PSD.
• BP monitoring and restocking of clinical areas.
• Maintain stocks and utilise EMIS/Ardens templates with training provided.
