Job summary

Primary Integrated Community Services Ltd is seeking a phlebotomist to join a busy GP practice. You will deliver phlebotomy services to patients, record specimens accurately and support the clinical team to maintain high standards of care.

You will work in a multidisciplinary environment, participate in audits and improvement initiatives, and have access to ongoing professional development opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Relevant venepuncture qualification and a good standard of education, including English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
• Experience in General Practice setting and direct patient care is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills are required for accurate clinical records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a professional phlebotomy service, obtaining patient consent and performing venepuncture safely.
• Accurately record patient information, label and manage specimens, and ensure timely transport to laboratories.
• Collaborate with clinicians and practice colleagues to support service delivery and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to audits and uphold high standards of patient care.
