Job summary

NHS Forth Valley is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Technician to join GP practices within the Primary Care Pharmacotherapy Service. You will work alongside pharmacists, technicians and support staff to ensure safe, effective pharmaceutical care for patients and to deliver a valued Pharmacotherapy Service across the area.

The role requires registration with the GPhC, and applications from newly qualified technicians are welcome.

Qualifications

  • Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Applications from newly qualified pharmacy technicians are welcome.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the service delivery area.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with a wider multidisciplinary team in GP practices, hospital, community pharmacy and care homes.

Job description

Are you a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician looking for a new challenge? NHS Forth Valley has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team working within GP practices.

As a Primary Care Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in supporting safe, effective pharmaceutical care, ensuring patients get the best possible outcome from their medicines.

You will join a team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support workers delivering a much appreciated and well-respected Pharmacotherapy Service.

You will have effective interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with the ability to work in collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary team in hospital, community pharmacy and care homes settings ensuring seamless pharmaceutical care.

You must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council before you can apply for this post. Applications from newly qualified pharmacy technicians are welcome.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
