We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP and YOI Werrington, a young offenders prison located in Stoke-on-Trent.

HMP YOI Werrington is a young offenders prison for age 15-18 offenders with a capacity of 100 inmates.

Hours

Shift patterns between Monday-Sunday, 20:45-07:45

Salary

£24.79 an hour

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK, and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job
  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, respond to emergency situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
  • Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in collaboration with the patient and according to instructions and training received.
  • Promote safe patient care.
  • Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
