Job summary

Long Term Futures Ltd in Brent is seeking a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work with three Year 2/3 pupils in a welcoming primary school. You will provide targeted support outside the main classroom, helping pupils develop communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour through structured small-group activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN or behaviour support in a primary school.
• Experience with speech and language needs is desirable.
• Confident leading small-group activities independently.
• Knowledge of KS1 and lower KS2 curriculum.
• Calm, patient and resilient when pupils need extra support.

Responsibilities

• Support a small group of three Year 2/3 pupils outside the main classroom.
• Deliver targeted learning activities outside the classroom.
• Support speech, language and communication development.
• Use positive behaviour strategies and consistent routines.
• Help pupils manage emotions and engage with learning.
• Adapt activities to individual learning needs.
• Encourage confidence, independence and social interaction.
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENCo.
