Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school supporting students aged 11-19 (KS3-KS5). This full-time, temporary role offers daily pay of £100–£125 and runs 8:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

The role involves in-class behaviour support, quick response to staff requests, and delivering short-term interventions 1:1 or 1:2. Office-based guidance provided within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a specialist SEN school is essential.
• Ability to support students across KS3-KS5 and manage changing needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration with teachers and pastoral staff.
• Ability to respond calmly to behaviours that challenge and maintain a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class behaviour support across multiple lessons and departments.
• Respond quickly and professionally to behaviour support requests from staff.
• Deliver short-term, targeted interventions on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis.
• Support students with regulation, engagement and transitions.
• Assist with off-site activities, including swimming and outdoor learning.
• Follow changing timetables and priorities with flexibility and professionalism.
