Job summary

Academics are supporting a welcoming primary school in Slough seeking a Behaviour & Learning Support Assistant to join from September. You will support pupils with behaviour and learning in the classroom and build positive relationships.

The role is full time, 8:30am-4pm, with 92.59–95 per day, and salary will reflect qualifications and experience. Previous experience with children is desirable, but a calm, patient and willing-to-learn attitude is key.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with behaviour and learning in the classroom
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Helping children engage positively with their learning
• Supporting pupils to follow instructions and develop independence
• Working closely with teachers and the wider school team
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress and behaviour
• Providing a calm and consistent presence for pupils who may find school challenging
