Job summary

Academics are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Maidenhead to recruit a Behaviour & Learning Support Assistant from September. You will support pupils with behaviour and learning, build positive relationships, and provide 1:1 and small-group support under the guidance of teachers.

The role emphasises calm, patient, and consistent support to help every child engage with learning and reach their potential. Full-time, 8:30am-4pm, daily rate £92.59–£95.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children is desirable.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are important.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with behaviour and learning in the classroom
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Helping children engage positively with their learning
• Supporting pupils to follow instructions and develop independence
• Working closely with teachers and the wider school team
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress and behaviour
• Providing a calm and consistent presence for pupils who may find school challenging
