Job summary

Academics are supporting a welcoming primary school in Maidenhead to recruit a Behaviour & Learning Support Assistant starting in September.

You will build positive relationships with pupils, provide 1:1 and small-group support, and help children engage with learning while monitoring progress. The role offers a full-time schedule (8:30am-4pm) in a supportive school environment focused on behaviour management and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children is desirable.
• Calm and patient attitude with willingness to learn.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with behaviour and learning in the classroom.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
• Help children engage positively with their learning.
• Follow instructions and develop independence.
• Work closely with teachers and the wider school team.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and behaviour.
• Provide a calm and consistent presence for pupils who may find school challenging.
