Job summary

Academics Recruitment Agency, in partnership with a Torfaen primary school, seeks an Additional Learning Needs Teacher to start September 2026. You will deliver targeted teaching to pupils with ALN across the primary age range and collaborate with class teachers to provide personalised support.

The role emphasizes smaller-group teaching, differentiated learning, and a calm, consistent approach. A QTS and an Enhanced DBS are required, with EWC registration preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience working with ALN/SEND in a primary setting.
• Good understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive classroom practice.
• Ability to remain calm and consistent when supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
• Two recent professional references.

Responsibilities
