Job description

**Job Title: Primary Teacher - KS2** **Location: Preston, Lancashire** **Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term** ### **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher to join our friendly team at a vibrant and supportive school located in Preston, Lancashire. This is a full-time, long-term role where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our students' learning journey. ### **Key Responsibilities:** - Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons that cater to the needs of all pupils and comply with the National Curriculum. - Create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that allows children to feel safe and encourages them to enjoy learning. - Assess and record pupils' progress, prepare reports and participate in parent-teacher meetings. - Develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children, according to age, ability, and aptitude. - Modify and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs and EAL (English as an Additional Language). - Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and coordinate lessons, share best practices, and support school events. - Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a good working atmosphere. - Utilize resources effectively to enhance the children’s learning experience. - Undertake duties outside of classroom hours, such as lunchtime supervision and after-school activities. - Engage in continuous professional development and attend staff meetings as required. ### **Requirements:** - Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. - Proven experience in teaching KS2 within primary education settings. - Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and the ability to create engaging lesson plans. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Ability to build rapport with children, parents, and staff. - A commitment to ongoing personal development and a willingness to share expertise. - Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one. ### **What We Offer:** - A supportive and passionate team dedicated to improving outcomes for children. - Opportunities for professional development and career growth. - A welcoming school community with supportive parents and governors. - A competitive salary reflective of your experience and qualifications.
