Job summary

Tamworth Borough Council is seeking a Pride in Place Coordinator to lead delivery of the Pride in Place programme across Glascote Heath, Stonydelph and Tamworth. The role is hybrid, part-time (22.2 hours/week) and fixed-term until March 2029, with an annual pro rata salary of £27,274–£29,542 plus car user allowance.

You will coordinate activity, support community engagement, maintain plans and dashboards, monitor budgets and ensure governance and grant compliance while working with residents,

Qualifications

• A Level/Level 3 education desired or substantial equivalent experience in regeneration, community development, public administration or a related field.
• Experience coordinating projects or programmes, ideally within local government, regeneration or community settings.
• Experience of project management and programme delivery, including capital projects.
• Knowledge of grant-funded programmes, governance arrangements and compliance requirements.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-working skills.
• Confidence in analysing information and presenting reports to a variety of audiences.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office, Excel and associated reporting tools.
• A proactive and solution-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of Pride in Place capital and revenue projects.
• Organise and support community engagement events, workshops and consultations.
• Build effective relationships with residents, community groups, businesses, partner organisations and contractors.
• Maintain programme plans, action trackers, risk registers and performance dashboards.
• Monitor progress against outcomes and funding requirements; prepare reports for the Neighbourhood Board and senior leaders.
• Support budget monitoring and expenditure reporting; ensure governance, assurance and grant funding compliance.
• Collect and analyse information to demonstrate programme impact and support evaluation activities.
• Identify delivery risks and work with partners to develop practical solutions.
