Job summary

Tamworth Borough Council invites applications for the Pride in Place Coordinator role to deliver a £20M community programme across Glascote Heath, Stonydelph and Tamworth. The hybrid, part-time contract supports the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board and involves working with residents, partner organisations and contractors.

The role requires coordinating capital and revenue projects, stakeholder engagement and robust governance.

Qualifications

• A Level/Level 3 education desired or substantial equivalent experience in regeneration, community development, public administration or a related field.
• Experience of coordinating projects or programmes, ideally within local government, regeneration or community settings.
• Experience of project management and programme delivery, including capital projects.
• Knowledge of grant-funded programmes, governance arrangements and compliance requirements.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-working skills.
• Confidence in analysing information and presenting reports to a variety of audiences.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office, Excel and associated reporting tools.
• A proactive and solution-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of Pride in Place programme capital and revenue projects.
• Organise and support community engagement events, workshops and consultations.
• Build effective relationships with residents, community groups, businesses, partner organisations and contractors.
• Maintain programme plans, action trackers, risk registers and performance dashboards.
• Monitor progress against outcomes and funding requirements.
• Prepare reports and briefings for the Neighbourhood Board, senior leaders and elected members.
• Support budget monitoring and expenditure reporting.
• Ensure governance, assurance and grant funding compliance.
• Collect and analyse information to demonstrate programme impact and support evaluation activities.
• Identify delivery risks and work with partners to develop practical solutions.
