Job summary

Marshmallow is seeking a commercially minded data science leader for its Pricing team in London. You will own loss ratio insights, translate complex analytics into pricing actions, and guide a small team of pricing data scientists.

You’ll partner with claims, finance and product, communicating clearly to senior stakeholders while navigating uncertainty and sparse data. This role offers a hybrid London environment with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a data scientist in a risk-focused domain such as pricing, credit decisioning or fraud.
• Experience in commercially driven environments where performance metrics guide decisions.
• Ability to form clear, commercially grounded views from technical analysis.
• Comfort making sound decisions when data is incomplete or imperfect.
• Collaborative approach to connect pricing insights to business performance.

Responsibilities

• Own Marshmallow’s loss ratio view across our portfolio and recommend actions.
• Lead conversations with stakeholders on pricing performance and risk trends.
• Manage and develop a small group of pricing data scientists.
• Drive cross-functional investigations into claims and risk signals with partners.
• Shape deployment of pricing data scientists across workstreams as the team evolves.
